Aliathon SDH/SONET Overhead Processor Cores for STM16/OC48, STM4/OC12 and STM1/OC3

General Description

Aliathon Overhead Processors allow the user to configure and monitor the state of an STM16/OC48, STM4/OC12 or STM1/OC3 link. They can be configured to monitor/generate up to 48 different Higher Order Path Overheads and 4032 different Lower Order Path Overheads. It connects effortless to Aliathon SDH Deframer/Framer, AliathonSDH Demapper/Mapper and Aliathon E1/T1 Deframer/Framer.

Some of the Receiver Overhead Processor features:

· Extracts all Transport Overhead and High Order Path Overhead
· Monitors APS K1/K2 and detects failure
· Captures C2 and V5 Synchronisation Status
· Generates HP-UNEQ and LP-UNEQ alarms
· Detects B2 Signal Fail (SF) and Signal Degrade (SD)
· Extracts all J0 Trace messages and compares with expected values
· Extracts all J1 Trace messages and compares with expected values
· Extracts all J2 Trace messages and compares with expected values
· Detects LOF, LOS, OOF, MS-AIS, MS-RDI, AU-LOP, AU-AIS, TU-LOP and TU-AIS
· Higher Order Path Status (G1 REI and G1 RDI)
· Lower Order Path Status (N2 REI and N2 RDI)
· Indicates and counts Monitor, Section, Higher Order Path bit interleaved parity (B1, B2 and B3)
· Indicates and counts Lower Order Path bit interleaved parity (BIP-2)
· Indicates and counts Line and Path far end error indications (REI-L and REI-P)
· Counts point increment, decrement and new data flags
· Informs upstream of TOH, HO-POH RDI and REI defects and LO-POH RDI and REI defects

Some of the Transmitter Overhead Processor features:

· Generates all Transport Overhead and High Order Path Overhead (K1, K2, S1, C2, V5...)
· Generates all J0 Trace messages
· Generates all J1 Trace messages
· Generates all J2 Trace messages
· Generates all Consequent Action alarms (MS-REI, MS-RDI, HP-REI, HP-REI, LP-REI, LP-RDI)
